Dating Poem by Ravi Kopra

Dating

She senses a gold mine
In a lonely widower
Not knowing his estate
Will be his heirs'.

In her best dress
In her best make up
She meets him in an
High end restaurant.

She lures him, seduces him
Offers all of herself
But when the cat is
Let out of the bag

She excuses herslef
Goes to the restroom
And calls the next single
Widower/divorced millionaire.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
SURPRISE

He takes her unawares
Like a happy fate
Illumines the dimness of solitude
Electrifies her breath
... and cuts off
Like an electric current
On a festive night.
