Dawn Of Dusk Poem by timothy nyabwengi

Dawn Of Dusk

Rating: 5.0

A day in the life
A life not worthy the name nor to mention
Nothing to live for
Nothing to die for but everything to die of.
A breathe a second goes and comes
For then a gun is acquired
A gun fired
A gun found
A murder weapon for ill security reasons.
For one to die is for another to live
My freedom, your slavery
A thing of the past not known
Unsolved certain cases
Ambiguous mystery
Tooth and nail you may fight
But the unjust justice takes your reward
Labour in vain for the unworthy cause of living.
Coke in a baby mama’s pocket
Fire in her drawer
Condoms in her bossom
All goods under one roof.
Its not an unfamiliar familiarity
Intimate enemity
Divided unity
Moral immorality
Pure sinful spirituality.
A father bailed out by the son
As son is bailed out by the father.
A mother advised by the daughter
As the contrary is misplaced and unacceptable.
The right is wrong
The acceptable unacceptible within acceptible limits.
The present future is visionary
And nothing is real.
With void hope
The empty future is looked upto
The agitated serenity
is all we got.
