Day Dreaming Poem by Grace Diane Jessen

Day Dreaming

Rating: 5.0

Newly rich, the fields
of green
Like sheets of winter
summering;
Blossom-laden apple
boughs,
Fragrant shade for
resting cows;
Spring-struck fools like me,
not bored,
Rejoice that work can be
ignored.

What a relaxing poem! I love it, and to a cowboy, the mention of cows is a bonus.

Very nice. I especially love the last line. Ignoring work is one of the things that I do best!
