Day Of Canada Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Day Of Canada

Day of Canada

Long is list of to do
-unlike time

But still I rather sit and watch
-videos and hashtags
-on Day of Canada
- (where I live)

Eyes take me on trips
-mind drops and drips

I start in Iran; go around
-till am back where I am

People who are born, raised
-in one pond and live there
-in salt or sweet water,
-do not know of the life
-of elsewhere… regardless

But this is exactly what I know
-I went to seas, deserts, Andes, to Africa
-Saudi, UAE, Pakistan and Afghan
-to Moscow, Central Asia, even more

Looking at the P. M. Trudeau
-eating his poutine on the roadside
-see his life, similar is to us
-and think of a monkey in Iran
-how unlike! He betrayed the nation
-the land and the people, history and culture
-to brains and their faiths
-his respect was only for himself

This is how dumb asses live and think:
- "unlike rest…I am too special, "
-so they see rest of world as slaves! ! !

Feel claws of cruel in my chest
-sitting back wrestle sighs
-shed tear in response…
