Day Of Reckoning Poem by Ima Ryma

Day Of Reckoning

The Journal of the A.M.A.
Has done a study on road death,
And does report that on tax day,
More tax filers take their last breath.
The study gives no answers why
More tax filers are in grave risk,
That tax day they will drive and die.
Perhaps a booze connect - tsk! tsk!
Taxes are taxing, there's no doubt.
So if on tax day you do drive,
Be vigilant to all about,
And drive your best to stay alive.

Death and taxes - the two sure things.
Oft a package deal, tax day brings.
