Dead And Never Died, Alive And Never Really Lived - Poem by Nicholas Turner
I am human
But was never born.
I am dead
But have never died.
I am alive
But have never really lived.
I am here
But have never really existed.
You say I’m in your memories
But I was never there.
I am a part of your present
But you may forget I’m here.
You want me a part of you future
But I can never be there.
You sometimes want to forget me
Since you know I won’t always be there
And while that may be true
How I can never stay with you,
For now I shall continue to stay with you
Up until the crossroads of our lives go their
Separate way’s and you go to your happiness
And I shall go to mine.
