Dead End Roads - Poem by MOHAMMAD SKATI

IN THE DARK I LOOK FOR THINGS AND THINGS. I SEE IN THE DARK THINGS WITHOUT LIGHT. ONE CANDLE IS ENOUGH TO LIGHT A THOUSAND PATHS. ROADS ARE CLOSED AND ENDLESS. I WALK BY MYSELF IN THE DARK WITHOUT NOTICING SIGNALS OR DIRECTIONS ALONG MY ROAD. I SEE MY TRUE DREAMS IN THE DARKNESS ITSELF. WE WERE BORN IN THE DARKNESS, WE WALK IN THE DARKNESS, AND WE WILL DIE IN THE DARKNESS. DREAMS COME OUT OF DARKNESS. WE CAN NOT READ OUR ADDRESSES IN THE DARK, BUT WE DO UNDERSTAND THEM. ONLY DEAD END ROADS.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

IT'S DIFFICULT SOMETIMES TO UNDERSTAND THINGS IN ONE'S WAY IN LIFE.
