Dear Heart

Dear Heart,
Your wounds I feel,
embraced by devastation
I sit
I want to encircle you
but I can't
not now
My arms are
to weak
to hold you
the way
I should
You are covered
in a fabric
of sorrow and pain
A dark night
of the soul
with his shining
sword
cuts deep
as you weep.
