Dear Martin Poem by Nidhi Rajesh Kumari

Dear Martin

Dear Martin, I hold this pen
To tell you something from the inside
Something buried deep within me
Ready to hit my lips like the high tide.

I never found a reason to speak
For, we never shared a meal together
Or, a common topic to chat on
Say books, television or the weather.

But today, I must confess the truth
She's not the correct choice for a guy
Who lives and loves each moment honestly
And I love him too, don't know why.

Shocked of my sudden outburst
I know you'd dropp this letter down
And, then lift it up once more
To reread all of this, with a frown.

Yes, I love you ever since the day
You presented me with a pink flower
But, never thought I'd tell you this way
When, your hands are cold and mine shiver.

Though I know you hardly recognize me
Other than the big framed specs I wear
But, I never wanted any more attention
From you in my life, I swear.

Everything appears good to nice men
But, you must look before you fall
For, love happens once in a lifetime
And if lost, you lose all.

Hence, think again before you decide
And jump upon this one-way train
Till then, I'd always be there
For you. With love, Jane.
