Death And Destruction Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Death And Destruction

Empty!
The end;
With the ways of evil,
On this earth today.

Empty!
Like darkness;
Without light,
And, without love.

Empty!
Hatred and war;
Because of the sins of mankind,
Without true love to others.

War!
The storehouses of the land are now empty;
Like the wilderness;
With death and destruction.

Fierce anger! !
It brings us no peace;
Like your sword at your neighbour's throat,
But, war destroys everything.
