Death And Love Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Death And Love

Rating: 5.0

The mystic's concern with death
results from his concern for love.

The paradox that in a love-relationship,
a letting go, a surrender,
a 'death' to the self-contained,
autonomous ego-self
is indispensable is a fact
of experience which
any lover knows,
who has tasted something
of the riches of friendship.

The mystic sees death as a door way to his lover: The Source. Dying to 'the self' is imperative in a loving relationship. There is no place within it for anything which is 'Ego based'. The rewards are great and numerous, everlasting riches of love. Wonderful recipe for a loving relationship, Tony. Thank you for sharing...
