Death Is Best Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Death Is Best

Death is best

What I hate is old age
pants are tight and teeth fall
the nature’s beauty hide of eyes
hearing misses lot as the, ears lock
many words; open mouth gives advice
when walking feet and hands need a wall
mother said: “son live long, ” and was wrong
death is best for old age.

Old age is certainly not very inviting due to the inabilities that one come across and have to bear. However greying of hair is a privilege only for few as not all can touch that milestone and live another phase of life being a grandparent. Certainly as you said, once you become dependant on others for your day to day activities be it old age or not, then during such times we feel to surrender as living even a day more seems painful and worthless. A good write.
