Death (Senryu) Poem by Sandra Martyres

Death (Senryu)

Rating: 5.0

The death of a friend
Can leave one devastated
Fate is often cruel

Death robs you of friends
When you least expect it to
Anger fills the void

Why do the good guys
Have to suffer and die young
While the crooks survive

In life many questions go unanswered, life can be both happy and sad, to lose someone close is very sad, to lose to an act of violence we always question why. You have expressed your feelings very well in these three senryu's.

It's quite painful to lose a person whom we are close to, as they are our support, our pillar and strength. It's always the good who go early, which is a life's mystery. It will be tough, but life goes on, as decided by the One Above.

Yes, sandra; even after being aware of human mortality, death of a near or dear one leaves all of us shattered. I think; it still is the cruelest act on surviving ones. Very well written, keep it up!
