Deceiver Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Deceiver

That day was bright and sunny,
I was waiting for my friend,
Who had promised me earlier that he would surely come,
I was waiting and waiting the whole day,
But he did not come.
Dark evening appeared,
The atmosphere became strange and uncanny,
I gave up hope,
Being frustrated, I was returning home,
Suddenly I heard my friend's gruff voice from the dark and gloomy sky,
"You are a fool to wait for me,
I never keep my words,
Like a brazen deceiver,
I always like to deceive others."
