Deception? I'M Not Into That Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Deception? I'M Not Into That

If your decision is to attack my character,
With degrading creative comments you make...
At least use the facts.
Why do you think I've made them controversial,
And assessible with lots of dirt attached?
Do you think I would do that,
If I did not know my activities would someday be probed?
Come on...
What do you think this business is all about?
Deception?
I'm not into that.
I like it most when folks are shocked by the truth.
That made-up stuff to whisper in ears to gossip,
Is too old school.
I've got the dirt, here it is, come and get some.
Why make it so difficult on yourself?
