Decline Of The Bees Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Decline Of The Bees

Rating: 5.0

Where are the bees so precious for us?
Vital for the human food chain and survival
Pollenating plants, fruit, and crops.
Decline and loss due to the folly of humanity
With global warming, ruthless, overwhelming
Nature struggling in death throes
Species of wildlife, plants, fish, insects
Lost, never to populate and to flourish again
Mankind are the stewards of the blue planet
Given intellect and dominance over the planet
Guardians, tending for all life to flourish.
Once, there was the Garden of Eden, God's gift
Where Adam and Eve procreated the human race.
Time presses with human descendants inheriting a desert.
