dedications are an acknowledgement of sources
inspiration and the beauty of a written appreciation
the chance to occasionally interact with another poet
read and declare that their work was appreciated
with contemplated ripples of interwoven meaning
dedications multitudes myriads have been written
dedications written as poems not all are written with beauty
some were written to appeal address unpleasant tragic themes
occasionally the cadence was written to stick in the throat
because respect for topic motifs demanded raw awkward
uncomfortable rhythms to stick in the mind the conscience
to pierce the heart in conscience meditation workshops
love is the essence of beautified lives writing with beauty
is an affirmation of hope for a better purer simpler world
