For those who think me way too broad
this is my defense—
what does it mean to be "Christian"
if not human in the very best sense.
Those thinking me way too broad? Are you speaking of your perceptions of what defines GOD or what defines all religions? I like that idea that we are all GOD or GOD's imitators as you wrote...and that is the best part of us, of what it means to be human. I think that how we humans define what this inner God means, is less important. What is most important is to embrace the spiritual inside of us and strive to live a blessed existence.
I agree 100%. Religious experience comes out of our shared humanity. It is an expression of that humanity. Most people believe only ONE out of at least 2000 is true but all 2000 varieities of religious experience share in this fundamental human-ness of religion. Your quatrain embodies my deepest philosophy as a scholar of.world relgins
yes. the incarnation is about God joining the human race. as God's imitators, we are to follow that example. thanks for your comment, daniel. -glen

I agree with you, Jette. By conviction, I am, to use a label, an Anabaptist Christian. With Jesus as the center and scripture as the guide for faith and conduct, I see in his teaching that love is supreme—it is the mark of the Christian and evidence that God’s spirit lives within. Having these as starting points, knowing that God is love, I look for love in people and, basically, ignore the self-descriptors. -Glen
