Defining Days Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Defining Days

Just another day
is what some might say
Rising with the sun...
the ritual has begun

The job slope is steep
with schedules to keep
Staying whole can be struggle
At times it is hard to juggle

Giving all it takes to survive
So little remains… drained dry
Near empty at the end of the day...
Making a living… getting paid

Merely existing is unrefined
Emphasis must be redefined
There are hours for relaxation…
create a spark of inspiration

Change the configuration
from static to jubilation
Find what gladdens your heart
Maybe it is music or the arts

Perhaps sports are what kindle your fire
Cheer your team and change your attire
Whatever it takes… make the choice
envision rewarding yourself… rejoice
