Can I cry now at the injustice
of loving each fresh misery,
of turning from spurned happiness
as though each fresh heartbeat
burns curious fingers.
Allow me, this once, to mourn the sun
which sinks behind his smile.
When he fades, I breathe again,
when he leaves my mind, I collapse
and nothing saves my soul.
Just for now, can I escape forever
by praying to a lonely moon.
On bended knee I sacrifice
all pretence of sanity to my dreams,
and through clenched palms I ask
to wallow in delusions again.

This is a pretty powerful poem. You are a fantastic writer. I think this poem about love's delusions is true at times. Ahh the delusions we sometimes face when in love.
each and every poem of yours is read like this: G~R~E~A~T~N~E~S~S~ and this one is no different. good job V. Becca
Is happiness a delusion or mirage like illusion, Whenever i go near, it escapes like a deer. Good expression in a verse form
Your reads carry so much emotions. Some are almost painful to read. what a great job you have done on this one. Your flow and vocabulary are excellent. I enjoyed this read very much. keep writing I'll keep reading; -)
On bended knee I sacrifice all pretence of sanity to my dreams, and through clenched palms I ask to wallow in delusions again. ___________________________________ and wallowing in the cloying waves of insanity a buoy I accidently stepped on disdainly I took a plunge for insanity that love endows worth million loveless Magi put together
wow...as usual i'm left breathless at the beautiful wording. Sometimes loneliness is a welcoming escape from delusion...10
