Demonetization In India - Third Anniversary
cash flow is.to economy
as to blood flow is to anatomy
restrict either, get death's smell
Demo stopped cash, it was hell
common man's mess, was like astronomy
plan.was to give shock therapy
send black money to state of atrophy
but the plan killed normal cells
while cancer hid in its shell
still, people gave Modi a trophy
today mood is down due to Moody's
Pundits of all hues, say 'down with Modi'
gung-ho Modi, trotting globe
to find fixes, world he.probes
his.spirit, uplifting.like.a.melody.
Moody is an agency rating economies of countries. Today 8/11/2019 it has rated the growth of India's economy as negative.
India demonetized higher denomination notes of 500 and 1000 Rs on 8/11/2016. Suddenly cash flow stopped. A big chunk of trade takes place through cash in India and labourers are paid wages daily in cash. People could not buy normal groceries, milk, vegetables etc daily and the labour class did not get wages.Many lost jobs. Shops lost customers. It had a cataclysmic effect on the economy. It was felt that the Govt had not planned properly and had not introduced new notes in sufficieny quantities in time. Meanwhile other international trade factors like trade agreements with USA etc which had a negative effect. Today the state of economy looks fairly pes simistic.But Modi continues to be bery popular and people believe he is doing his best to revive the economy.
