Did God Give Up On His Own Country?



DID GOD GIVE UP ON HIS OWN COUNTRY?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
disaster is not their cup of tea
they rule in fair weather for a fee

seat of power their precious asset
to save which resources are preset

have little time for public grief
busy robbing treasury like thieves

such men double nature's fury
perhaps God says 'man, I'm sorry'

Kerala and Kodagu are man-made
'to common-sense, goodbye', man bade

satellite pictures, Kerala clear target
ignored warnings, this is what one gets

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Kerala State in India is also called God's Own Country. It is well known for its beautiful beaches, forests and lakes and boat-houses. A paradise for tourists.it is also known for its Ayurvedic curing centres which uses natural herbs to cure people suffering from chronic ailments.Kodagu is a district in karnataka State, known for its coffee plantationss, scenic beauty and cool weather.It is a major tourist hub. Kerala and Kodagu have been badly hit by the recent rains and floods.Many lives and much property has been lost. Houses have collapsed.Relief has been tardy and ineffective.
