Depression Poem by Ryley Nelson

Depression

Rating: 5.0

Shes' been holding it in like clouds, but on the bad days she lets it all out
tears fall fast, like rain on a stormy day
no one know what to say
to make her feel like she's ok
so she fakes a smile so know one knows
even though they always go......

Very good write. I feel the poem is meant to be open-ended. Adds to the effect. Well done.

There appears to be a ring of incompleteness in this poem, but perhaps that is part of the message of the poem. Depression keeps things in, and the ability to let it all freely flow is curtailed. I like this poem in that respect. So much is said that is not said.

''even though they always go..'' this is the point.. you need to care, for a real help.. but nowadays, (almost) no one cares..

I too use a perpetual smile to cover the sadness I feel. Nicely written, Ryley. Thanks Peace
