Depression Aint No Flu - Poem by Amy Louise Kerswell

Depression aint no flu.
It sticks to my body like super glue.
Eating away at my soul.
Making me a former shadow of myself.
People say snap out of it.
You'll be ok.
I wish I could be ok
I wish I could shake this vermin away.
I wish I could be free
But depression isn't easily shaken.
Depression aint no flu

Great comparison, Amy! Unique concept regarding depression and how it grips you from the inside out. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn (Report) Reply
