Desolation Poem by Jinnuraine Jaigirdar

Desolation

A great emptiness in the sea of knowledge,
There is no sharpness in learning;
Philosophy living In a deserted land,
Intellectuals are busy kissing naked hands,
Scholars in working politics,
Educated stand in the ranks of wealth,
The wise walk in the open wilderness,
The society is lying face down in the arrogant dunes.

Literature laughs only in imagination,
Prose is not composed, in the sharpness of the pen,
The verses, lies under cover in the intensity of the cold,
The playwrights, living in abject poverty;
Teachers are sustaining in degeneration,
Students are suffering from malnutrition;
The Science existing In the emptiness,
We are living in a time of desolation.
