Desperately Competing Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Desperately Competing

On my time,
Blessed to be given and live.
Your time on my mind,
I find not as valued.

Although...
I must and do admit,
Both of us with time...
Could find our time together,
Better spent.

If we used more of it less,
Disbelieving...
Our experiences to acquire them,
Have no benefit to share.
With one another to spare.

Without competing separately.
As if desperate for attention to get.
Repeatedly to achieve,
Doubt, disappointment.
And regret to feel to leave others pleased!
