Desperation Poem by David Harris

Desperation

Rating: 5.0

When your life is on a downward swing,
you're heading for despair,
and everything you touch
seems to crumble in your hands.
Your closeted fears become reality
and there seems nowhere to turn.
Your life is spiralling out of control
to places you do not want to go.
The more you try to claw back,
the deeper into the abyss you slip.
You cry out for help,
but there is no one there
to help you from this bottomless pit
that everyone calls despair.
One day you hope again to see
the light from the heavens above
that will guide you away from the edge
of the darkness you have fallen in.
