Dessert Poem by David Darbyshire

Dessert

Rating: 5.0

Desserts are the best dish
usually comes, what I wish
the best are from my Mum
very sweet and with a plum

I will eat Ice-cream
nice as a dream
but cakes reign supreme
with extra whipped cream

I love wiggly jelly
prunes are a bit smelly
puddings are a joy
rather have a pandowdy

the belt you must hide
to get all the dessert inside
but once it is in,
your face will grin
