Destination Poem by Dorsey Baker

Destination

Watching that old man
Shuffling down the hallway
He seems so
Determined to get to
His destination!

Before his legs give out!
His back is bent
His head is bowed
And you can almost hear
The fast beating
Of his heart
His eyes turn
Very dark as if
He is lost
In some deep distant thought!
And he looks so peaceful
As he is coming closer
To his destination!
