Destroying The Walls Poem by Gary Hembree

Destroying The Walls

In the dark I can hear you.
You whisper wicked words into my ear.
In my dreams you chase me down.
To cause harm is all you want with me.
Yet I find ways to go on with my day.
Destroying the walls you create.
One day soon you'll quit.
Making me the victor over myself doubt.
