Devil I am I hear you say
Spawned from evil so far away
Tricks to your love and life
All I cause is lots of strife
My wicked grin
Helps me to get in
Do not fight me I say
Do not even pray
You will not shift away
I am here to stay
Feeding on need
Offering greed
Those that succumb
They are under my thumb
I will not let them out
Let them all shout
They are mine for all time
Hearts and souls all mine
Minds and body too
Faith left, it flew
You are left to me
This is your destiny
Don’t think I will be leaving
Because now you start believing
The apple I hold
Made Eve’s blood run cold
Take a bite
Do not be contrite
You know I am right
Your blood I excite
Close your mind - I am gone
