Diagram Of Time Poem by Denis Mair

Diagram Of Time

Rating: 5.0

Darkness has fallen in the background jungle.

This is a diagram of time, so some richness must be sacrificed to make room for the new.

If there is loss, let it be handled with a light touch.

With no anchor point the new details flaunt their colors, to mark the laminar flow of wind.

They are waving gracefully, even as the colors of companions fade.

There is a barrier, but it does not break the sympathetic connection of old and new.

Spontaneity is best when played off against solidity.

And verticality keeps a connection to what is beyond time.

Nice! A laminar piece, that flows like water. (I had to look up laminar) .
