It is so odd
to be dialed
into the technology
of the world
while I drive
through rural
countryside.
This was the world
of my grandmother,
raised her entire
life in rural places.
They enjoyed
mental peace
which is so strange
for the modern
human being.
I begin to doubt
whether all these
technological
developments
make man
somehow
a little mad..

This piece makes me think of the phrase: 'Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it'. I believe sensory overload is more possible than ever today, so people have to make more of a concerted effort to live a balanced lifestyle outside the world of technology.
