Difference - Poem by Naresh Dharwadkar

Hands speak same language
Though everything differs in the palm

Those lines, those marks
Lips differ whisper sparks

Accent, origin, and the bloodline
Skin cellular of original spine

Hand or lip or tip of nose,
Cells may be of same base

Forms, form differs
Everything differs

Colour, white, or black,
Orange, brown, or yellow
The race comprises
Living plasma, though breath differs

Cells vibrate, each cell different
Notes, tone, entirely different

Warmth, , the effect, rhythem
Sayeth not the same as of an anthem.
