Different Paths Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Different Paths

We all seem to travel on different paths.
To journey through life.
With it to discover,
On one road we meet.
Sharing experiences.
And the familiarity of them.
To wonder why,
God chose us to believe...
That a reaching our destiny,
Required that we did it...
By proving to ourselves,
That if we flattered God with praise...
God would look upon each path paved,
As better than others.
By declaring which ones self annointed,
Were the chosen ones.
And with all of that done,
Finding one road to reach God...
Was all kept faith had to take.
No matter where or how,
The doing of it was done.
