Directed As Staged Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Directed As Staged

A director.
Wishing to have a cast,
Of professional performers.
To repeat one scene.
Hoping to get another effect.
Without changing the script written.
But claims to be open,
To suggestions and recommendations made.

Although...
Does not intend to accept them.
If it should mean,
Someone else will get the attention.
Leaving the director,
Whose position is to direct.
Getting upset throwing childish tantrums.
Verifying to those who perform professionally,
That a scene repeated as directed...
Will be too obvious to ignore,
As nothing more than a farce.
That one who directs it,
Believes should be given...
Awards for the audacity to permit it staged.
Or at least mentioned,
To qualify and be nominated to receive...
A Nobel Prize.
