Discover And Observe Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Discover And Observe

All it takes,
Is undivided attention given.
With a listening patiently.
To one making accusations.
Directed towards another and/or others.
To discover and observe,
Just where a problem originated to develop.

Those who are mentally secure.
And have had endured the process,
Of their own experiences to live and accept.
Are seldom the ones accusing others to use,
As a mechanism to defend themselves.
Listen.
With undivided attention given.
And don't be the one who becomes solicited,
To endorse what you hear.
Until the facts are revealed.
With them made clear.
And only then insecurities shown.
To once have known them for what they are.
Should make anyone realize.
With eyes and ears open wide.
That whoever it is,
Still living with insecurities to protect.
And defend.
Without examining them to acknowledge.
Makes maturity impossible,
From someone like this to expect.
