Dismissives Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Dismissives

If I had not appreciated you.
And those special things,
You went out of your way.
Just for me to do.
I would be in a better position,
To understand.
Why my respect to give.
And you can not deny received.
Gives you the right to believe,
Your mistreatment done to me.
I should regard,
As the only way you can say...
My being here to prove it.
Is deserving of your repetitive...
Repetitive,
Gee. What is that word?

"Love? "

No.
I was thinking,
Dismissives.
Or something like that.
Which would have been more appropriate.
