Dissonant Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

Dissonant

Rating: 5.0

Loyal heart
Locked in your prison

Gentle water frozen
Into ice
Fallen like snow
In your body

You promised
To water this flower
Till it blossoms

You swore
Never to let this egg
Drop from your shielding hands

But now
Those fingers
Have turned slippery

You have broken this egg
With your leprous hands

You've withered this flower
Which you once nurtured
Like a toddler
