Disturbing Images Poem by Phil Soar

Disturbing Images

Disturbing images fill our lives
In the news and everywhere they shock us
Showing us that we are not perfect
We are no more the 'HUMAN' race
For how can we use such a term to describe our actions?
How can we suggest that we are superior?
Our planet will only take so much
Before returning itself to the origins of time
And without warning
Death will become us all

Until then, why can't we learn?
Why can't we share?
