Diverse Are Experiences Remembered Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Diverse Are Experiences Remembered

Experiences to live them,
Are as diverse as the people.
Who may or may not,
Attempt to compare...
Which ones to know,
Can be declared to be worse.
Or better.

Yet all experiences,
To reminisce and remember.
Are seldom left without embellishment.
Especially around those,
Wishing to impress.
With their experiences to live them,
Incredible to believe.
If someone forgets,
Their experiences to address...
Could not possible happen,
Before they were born...
To take their first breath.

"Are you sure what you say is true?
Because,
You and I were born in the same year.
And what you describe...
Your parents and mine,
Were still in elementary school.
Not to have yet met."

-Well...
Some of us are slower learners than others.
So...
What is it that you're trying to say?
That my experiences to remember,
Are more adventurous than yours?
Go ahead.
Admit it.-
