Dizzy Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Dizzy

Dizzy lip spouting tricksters.
Spinning out of vicious tales.
And hitting below belts.
In the hopes to land,
At least one final punch.
That crushes the proof of truth produced.
Found discovered dead and gone,
From doorsteps everywhere.
To give up any wish,
Truth will survive...
Through an onslaught of deception.
Accompanied by a pummeling of lies.

This fight gets more conflicted.
With backbiting of a racial heat.
As uniformed 'peacekeepers' are sent,
To incite protesters.
Done to do to increase with intent,
A provoking of their newsworthy activities.

Behind the scenes.
Dizzy from sweat and left still spinning,
Are the ones scrambling around.
For more tales to tell to sell them told.
Politicians and their supporters all.
Being whipped, beaten and beginning,
To stumble over each other falling.

Yet...
Continue they do their very best,
Determined to stand tall.
Determined to achieve an upset.
Although the walls they have built,
Around themselves as if a united quilt.
Slowly chips into pieces from rust.
Increasingly revealing...
Truth ultimately declared,
The undisputed winner only fools would dare...
To make attempts to end its reign!
