Do Not Cry Oh Chicks - Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Do not cry, do not cry oh chicks,
Oh my dear children, my sweet flowers,
You do not cry at all once again,
I am your mother robin bird,
Just I have returned back
Bringing a huge blueberry for you,
I should feed this to you soon,
Oh my dear garlands of gold and diamonds,
Oh my dear stars of my nest,
Do not shed tear out of your hunger,
Now you will be happy getting taste,
Such a pretty blueberry is ripened.

Opening your golden beaks you show mouth
I should feed you soon to churn hunger,
After eating this huge blueberry,
You will grow soon with golden wings,
Soon you will learn flying with me,
Then all of us will visit near forest
There is blueberry tree near river,
As many as blueberries we can,
We should go there and swing and eat.

Now you eat this fruit eagerly
Oh my children, my heart's beats,
I shouldsing a song soon for you,
I should fondle and dandle soon,
Then together we should sleep in nest,
In this dreamy green forest,
Our nest is swinging in a strong branch,
You do not fear at all, I am near you.

I am your mother telling my dear chicks,
You catch up and eat soon this fruit,
God has given us freedom to fly,
In free sky above our nest to next,
When you will learning flying by his grace,
We together should glorify his name,
Declaring our nest as a clean paradise,
We should live here very happily.

I am taken to a happy paradise where there is bliss, safety, security and contentment. This is the scenario not only of a nest where a mother bird and her little chicks are cradled in love and contentment, but of a happy home too where parents and children live together being well cared and supported. A heartwarming write! (Report)Reply

You are a good observer of bird's life. I often wonder about your keen perception Birds are very careful and responsible for their chicks. The picture drawn in this poem proves this entirely. Birds should fly in freedom as they get happiness from freedom. I liked this poem very much. (Report)Reply

What a heart warming poem. How beautiful when life flows easily. Healthy children, plenty of food, a guiding and loving parent. But this is not always the case. I often wonder why. But there are no answers. A lovely poem that teaches us to appreciate all the good things in life. (Report)Reply
