Do Not Judge Biased And Strictly... Poem by Julie Anjani

Do Not Judge Biased And Strictly...

Rating: 4.0

I am nor poet nor a pedagogue.
So, please, do not judge biased and strictly
A dilettante's naive monologue, -
Persons who create poems brilliantly.

To snide critics who are happy to hurt
The author with an offensive review,
Boomerang returns everything that's curt
To everyone who is there in queue.

I openly express feelings through rhymes.
These lines are frank, though so simple in sound.
If someone doesn't like my words sometimes, -
There are enough alternatives around...

I like this poem, but suggest you revise the penultimately verse to read this way: If someone sometimes doesn't like my themes …

There is a clear rhyme between the words 'rhymes' - 'sometimes', which is not present in the case of replacement with a variant of 'rhymes' - 'themes'. Thank you for reading and commenting, but I consider it inadvisable to change in this case.

Poetry is a life force to heal, love and soften hard hearts and poetry is never wrong. A lovely poem
