Do Not Pee On My Foot And Tell Me It Is Raining Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Do Not Pee On My Foot And Tell Me It Is Raining

Dark vails upon the nation!
Desperation and deep despair
Fury; looting and more looting!
With the "dem loot" gang on the prowl!

Observance!
Remembrance of the good dreams
That ignite a prophetic emerging power of the populace.
Seismic turbulence in the seat of power!

That isn't rain!
It's tyranny.
People are scared to even think!
But there's pandemonium in the mind of the despot!

The poor barking on the poor; that isn't clapping of thunder!
The nation bleeds: blood money feeds opulence
Marauding vampires in the corridors of our infamy
Sucking life from our healing houses!

High sounding fools in charge of the national purse
Moral decadence to finance
Those who steal even the shoes they are wearing.
It is dusk; soon darkness will envelope the seat of tyranny!
