'Do You Pay For Love? ' Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

'Do You Pay For Love? '

Oh I wish somebody would,
Just...
Take my heart and unlock it.
Yes...
I wish somebody good would,
Just take my heart and unlock it.
And I...
Wish somebody who could and would,
Come and take my heart and unlock it.
'Cause...
It's been locked up too long.
And...
I know it's not right but wrong,
To keep the loving that I've got...
To be paid for out of my pocket.

'What you say? '

I said I wish somebody would,
Just...
Take my heart and unlock it.
Yes...
I wish somebody good would,
Just take my heart and unlock it.
And I...
Wish somebody who could and would,
Come and take my heart and unlock it.
'Cause...
It's been locked up so long.
And...
I know it's not right but wrong,
To keep the loving that I've got...
To be paid for out of my pocket.

'Do you pay for love? '

I said I know it's not right but wrong,
To pay for love out of my pocket.

'Do you pay for love? '

I said I know it's not right but wrong,
To pay for love out of my pocket.

'So...
You DO pay for love? '

I'm not YET that desperate.
