Doesn'T Matter; Yet It Does

Rating: 5.0

I lay back as the hours fly
can't keep up with the days
no matter how hard I try
can't find my way out this daze.

Scared I'm running out of time,
I'm losing track of my life.
Can't sort the thoughts in my head,
everyday, to live, I strife.

Staying out of trouble,
yet it finds its way back to me.
Try to behave the best I can...
but how good am I expected to be(?)

Trying with my all to give & show love,
yet it stays out of my sight.
Though I want to feel the feeling,
I'm tired of the fight.

No one likes this little girl,
who can't clean up her attitude.
Though no one tried to get to know me,
they always come at me rude.

I try to make friends,
but hey, they'll come and go.
Say they're there through thick & thin
but they're gone before you know.

I try to be a big girl,
I can do things on my own.
Try not to depend on anyone,
but I'm tired of being alone.
.....
I lay back as my days go by.
Just can't catch a break,
no matter how hard I try.
