Doesn't Need Her For A Wife Poem by Randy McClave

Doesn't Need Her For A Wife

For the rest of her life
He won't call her his wife,
He might call her his mate or his girlfriend
But, on that circumstance it will all depend.
He doesn't need her as his spouse
He already has her to cook and clean his house,
And he don't need her to ever wed
Because he always has her in his bed.
His children don't need her as their mother
Because they already have another,
And she always combs or braids their hair
And she always taxi's them happily here and their.
He don't need to add her on his taxes
He just need her when he relaxes,
And for him she will always happily cook
So, she will be allowed to use his checkbook.
She doesn't have a job so, she never goes to work
To sleep is her favorite perk,
And happily she'll do his and his children's laundry
She lives in a constant quandary.
She reminds him of a loving dog wagging its tail
So, he strokes her, so she won't cry or wail,
And his real affection to her is known
When excitedly from him she receives a bone.
He'll use her as long as he can
He calls her his woman, she calls him her man,
And whatever he commands her she will always do
And she will always say wantonly, "I love you".
She will never be his bride
Even after she proposed, he said no, then she cried,
And he'll never give her his last name
Manipulation and owning her is his favorite game.
But, of course she knew the rules of the relationship sport
So, she's happy as long as she don't have to go to court,
Sadly when the right man finally came around
Her desires and needs to the wrong man was bound.
In thoughts one day I say that she will ponder
Then after another decade of being unmarried she might wonder,
She'll never be his queen, but he'll always be her king
And he'll never give her love or a wedding ring.
