Dolls On The Bus

dolls on the bus
out on a spree
going to see what the little folks see
a Disney matinee or Queen for a day
a soda shoppe reprieve
then dancing in the breeze
with bendable arms
no cause for alarms
dolls on the bus
oh deary me
where to get off
oh driver please
we forgot to write
our addresses down
how will they find us
and bring us from town
how to get home
not only that
we're chilled to the bone
and we've lost our best hats
just then I woke up
thank God for the dog
what a nightmare to solve
but not now
everybody's here
no need to fear
and it's still summer.
