Domestic Refugees Poem by Hebert Logerie

Domestic Refugees

Rating: 4.0

The victims of Hurricane Harvey
Are unfortunate refugees
Anybody can easily become homeless
Destitute and powerless
We are living at the mercy
Of the Almighty
We are all refugees.

Please pray for all refugees
For all the victims of silly wars
For all the victims of Mother Nature
We are all refugees
Of circumstances
And victims of nuisances
Please, pretty please
Help our brothers and sisters
And pray for all victims
Let's be on the same team
Let's play in the same team
We are all refugees.

We do not need to cross borders
In order to become refugees
Domestic refugees
Do not need to cross frontiers
Jump over walls or barriers
God did not create borders
Man always wants to put up walls
To create chaos, hindrances
Obstruction, impediments
Restriction, limitation
Barricade and confusion
Mother Nature knows no boundaries
No colors, no borders, and no walls
The sky has no limits, no tall walls
No impediments and no frontiers
All walls will eventually fall
Please unite to build bridges
We are all refugees.
